Medzilaborce – Church of St. Basil the Great
The Church of St. Basil the Great is one of the most important religious landmarks in Medzilaborce and serves as the centre of the local Greek Catholic parish. Its interior is more richly decorated than those of churches in the smaller villages of the region. Located close to the town centre, it is within easy reach of other tourist attractions. Medzilaborce is also well known for the Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art.

Tyrawa Solna
The wooden Church of St John the Baptist in Tyrawa Solna was built in 1837. Today it is used as a Roman Catholic church. Its interior preserves an iconostasis and furnishings dating from the period when the building served as an Eastern-rite church.

Volica – Church of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos
The church in Volica is a small sacred building with a traditional eastward orientation. It is dedicated to the Feast of the Dormition of the Most Holy Theotokos. Located in the centre of the village, it forms its natural landmark. The surrounding landscape offers beautiful views of the Laborec Highlands, making it an excellent place for a short stop during a cycling trip.

Vydraň – Church of St. Michael the Archangel
The church in Vydraň is dedicated to St. Michael the Archangel, the patron saint of warriors and pilgrims. Its distinctive tower is visible from the approach road to the village. The church has served the local Greek Catholic community for many decades. Krásny Brod – Church of St. John the Baptist
Krásny Brod is one of the most important pilgrimage sites in northeastern Slovakia. The church continues the tradition of the historic Basilian Monastery. Surrounded by forests, it offers a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere. Every year, pilgrims from across the region come here, and for cyclists it is one of the most attractive stops along the entire route.

Czerteż
The wooden Greek Catholic church in Czerteż, dated to 1742, is one of the most valuable religious monuments along the entire route. Covered with traditional wooden shingles, the church preserves exceptionally valuable figurative wall paintings. In front of the church stands a two-storey bell tower dating from 1887, completing the historic character of the complex.

Zbudské Dlhé – Parish Church
The parish church in Zbudské Dlhé is an important landmark of the local community. The building has a traditional rural character, while its surroundings include a quiet village square and a cemetery. The village lies on the route between Humenné and Medzilaborce. The masonry Church of the Dormition of the Mother of God in Trepcza was built in 1807. At the end of the 19th century, the church was enlarged with the addition of a vestibule and tower. Surrounded by old trees and a stone wall, it forms a distinctive part of the village’s historic landscape.

The parish in Ľubiša plays an important role in the spiritual life of the region. The church is located in the centre of the village and is easily accessible. The former Greek Catholic parish Church of St Nicholas in Dobra Szlachecka was built in 1879. Today it serves as the Roman Catholic filial Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross. One of the most valuable elements of the complex is a free-standing 17th-century tower that served as both a bell tower and a gateway.

The church in Palota is a typical example of the Greek Catholic churches of northeastern Slovakia. It is located in a peaceful village near the Polish border. The church is a popular stop for cyclists and pilgrims travelling through the Laborec Pass.
