Rewards system regulations

§1. General provisions

These regulations define participation rules in the reward system within the "BikeQuest – cycling across the borderland" project, run by the Municipality of Sanok (PL) and the Municipality of Sačurov (SK).

The reward system consists of finding QR codes placed at selected tourist attractions in both municipalities.

Each QR code contains one element of a password (e.g. a word, word fragment or symbol).

§2. Definitions

App – the BikeQuest mobile app.
User – a participant.
QR code – marker placed at an attraction containing a unique password element.
Password – the correct sequence of elements collected from QR codes.
Attraction – a location marked on the app map where a QR code is placed.
Reward – a gift given for correctly assembling the password.

§3. Participation rules

The user visits attractions marked in the BikeQuest app. Each attraction contains a QR code to scan with a phone. After scanning the code the user sees a password element. The user collects all elements and assembles the correct password. The password must be shown at the reward collection point.

§4. Conditions for receiving the reward

To receive the reward the user must: scan all required QR codes, correctly assemble the password, confirm the password at the collection point. Rewards are awarded separately by each municipality. Rewards are awarded while supplies last.

§5. Types of rewards

Rewards may include: a commemorative pin, occasional medal, promotional items and others set by the given municipality for the given edition. Rewards cannot be exchanged for cash.

§6. Collection of rewards

Rewards can be collected at the Municipal Office of Sanok and at the Municipal Office of Sačurov. Details are published on the project website.

§7. Limitations and liability

Organisers are not liable for technical problems with the user's device, inability to scan a code for reasons beyond their control (e.g. no signal), damage or destruction of a QR code by third parties.

§8. Personal data protection

The data controller is, respectively, the Mayor of Sanok and the Mayor of Sačurov. Data is processed solely for handling the reward system. Details on data processing are in the project Privacy Policy.

§9. Final provisions

These regulations may be updated. The current version is available on the project website. Participation means acceptance of these Regulations.
